Amazing Support Home Care

Intellectual and Developmental Disability Care

Intellectual or developmental disability affects a person’s ability to live, attend school, and work independently. A person may need support with cooking, banking, transportation, social situations, health care visits, and activities of daily living. Three prominent intellectual or developmental disabilities are Down syndrome, autism, and traumatic brain injury (TBI). Our trained caregivers care for loved ones who have an intellectual or developmental disability. It could be a young child, an adult child who lives at home with their parents, or even an adult sibling. We care just as good as family.

Our caregivers assist with providing basic care by doing the following things for your loved one:

  • Bathing
  • Dressing
  • Feeding
  • Cooking
  • Shopping
  • Paying bills
  • Running errands
  • Giving medicine
  • Companionship
  • Providing emotional support
  • Driving to doctor’s office or pharmacy
Some people who have an intellectual or developmental disability have speech and communication problems. This is especially a problem when communicating with doctors or dentists. Our caregivers will accompany them to their appointment hence it falls in during their scheduled visits.

So far it has been a wonderful experience. I first spoke to Andrew who explained the process to me. He was patient and responded to all my questions. The discount as awesome. My dad did not really get along with the first caregiver that was sent but after expressing our concerns, they gave us a quick replacement and my dad is doing better with the new caregiver. I will recommend them anytime

My family just signed up for their services a short while ago. So far their caregiver take's very good care of my mom at home & with her errands. She arrives on time and very detailed on her job. My mom seems to get along with her very well unlike our previous caregiver from a different agency. Their rates are pretty fair enough compared to the quotes we got from other providers.
